Kolya Dubovik

Nikolay “Kolya” Nikolaevich Dubovik (b. 1986) is a highly decorated and exceptionally skilled painter representing the new generation of the Moscow Realist school. His artistic education was exemplary; after graduating from the 1905 Moscow Memorial State Academic School of Art, he was accepted into the famed Surikov Institute. There, he studied monumental painting in the studio of the illustrious People’s Artist of Russia, Professor E. N. Maksimov, graduating with honors in 2012. A member of the Russian Union of Artists, his immense talent was recognized early, winning multiple student competitions during his time at the Surikov.

Dubovik’s work demonstrates a masterful command of the realist tradition, infused with a contemporary energy.
